Task Boards
Create Boards, with distinct Groups to separate out internal and external tasks. Sort these boards into Folders for easy storage and reference.

Tasks > Boards > Add a Board

Board Types
Private
Create a private board where members will only be able to view the board when they are permissioned. 

Internal
Create a board where members will be able to view the board only if they have access to the task module. 

Public
Create a board viewable by permissioned members and external invited contacts.
Default Permissions
View only assigned
This will only show the tasks specifically assigned to the user within that board.

View all rows
This will show all tasks to the user within that board. 

Board Administrator
This will give the user complete access to the board including the ability to change the board format and structure e.g. add columns.
Right click on the board to rename, duplicate or delete.

Folders
Create a folder to store your boards in. Add Folder > Give it a name > Save.

Create new boards or drag and drop existing boards on top of the folders to move them. Right click on a folder to rename or delete.

Note: All changes to a board will be automatically saved. The cloud icon at the top right of the page will flash and sync any changes as they are made.
Groups

Multiple Groups can be created on one board and given different titles to further separate the tasks.

To change the name of a group, right click on the existing name > Edit Group > enter the group name and colour if required > Save

Delete Group will delete that specific group in the board. 
Create tasks by manually creating them via contacts, companies and opportunities. 
Tasks in Contacts
Create tasks directly against contacts.

Contacts > Contacts > Select Contact > Click the task action button > Choose board > Create a Task.

Create tasks directly against a company. 

Contacts > Companies > Select Company > Click the task action button > Choose a board > Create the task.

Tasks in Opportunities
Create tasks in opportunities.

Sales > Opportunities > Click into an Opportunity > Click the task action button  > Choose a board > Create the task.

Once created the task will appear against the contact and company timeline for future reference grouped as the board.  Clicking on the task entry in the timeline will take you through the board where the specific task you need can then be located. 
Copy a Task Board
By right clicking on the name of the board, there is the ability to duplicate an entire task board, the data and any associated Business Automations.
You can add, delete and re-order columns in boards.

The following columns are added to every board on creation:
ID
An automated number reference to identify the task.

Title
A text field e.g. title of the area the task belongs to.

Description
A  larger text field eg. for a further description of a task.

Assigned
The owner of the task. The options in the drop down include all Users in the platform.

Status
Create your own status options and assign them.
Note: These default column options cannot be deleted from a board.
Add additional columns to the board by clicking the grey cross top right of the page and choose from the following options.

Text
An area to add text.

Long Text
A field to add a larger amount of text.

Drop Down
A closed-ended field type where people can select only one answer from a menu of choices.

Date
A field to specify a date.

Date and Time
A field to specify a date and time. 

Deadline
A field to specify a deadline date e.g. when the task is due. 

Contact Details
Add the contact details of the contact the task is for.
Note: Deleting a column will delete the column on every group within that board.
Re-order columns by dragging and dropping them into place:

Board Management

There are a number of options at the top of the board detailed below.
Add
Add a new Group to the board - choose a colour and name:

Filter
Filter the board to only show the tasks you need to see:

Members
View who are members of the board and what permissions they have been assigned:

Internal
Type to add internal members to the board - the type ahead will show the users in the platform that are available to be added.

External
To create a board where you can invite external contacts, when you first create a board you will need to select the 'Public' board option. Once the board is created you can then invite the external contacts.

Members > type in the email address > click on Invite an external member. 

This will send the invited contact an email with a button to click through to view the board.

Archive
Right click on a column entry and select Archive Row > Ok

Access archived tasks under View > Archive and Restore to Board by ticking the box next to the task > Restore to Board.

Note: All members who are currently viewing the board will be shown as their avatar top right of the board.
Activity
View details relating to the changes made to the board including who the change was made by, what the change was and when the change was made:

There are also some options accessible under a right click action on a task cell.
Move Group
Move an existing task from one group to another within that board. 

Right click on the column you want to move > Move to Group > Select a Group

This area also allows you to change the cell colour and delete the task row. 
Right-clicking on the a column heading will give you the option to Hide the column:
Hide and Re-size
Collapse to hide columns short term.

Clicking on the column with undo this action.

The column can also be manually be made wider or narrower by clicking on the edge of the column until it shows blue and dragging it to resize horizontally:

Contact Controls
Right clicking on the Contact field shows you multiple options including opening the contact, changing the cell colour to highlight it and moving the task entry to another Group within the board:

Deadline Task Cell Colour
The Deadline column will show as red when the task is not yet complete and overdue. If the task is complete the cell will show as white. Helpful for viewing overdue tasks at a glance.

Task Activity
Within the task entry on the board, clicking on the blue speech bubble will show the Task Activity pane where you can add further details relating to that specific task:

Use the green action buttons to manage the task. Who the task was created by, plus creation date and time is displayed at the bottom of the task blade:

Comments
View and manage all notes added to the task. These notes have been created via the create Comment action button.
Timesheets
Create Timesheets by direct entry or timer to track the work you do towards the task.

Files
Add files associated to the task/board.

Activity
View details relating to the changes made to the task including who the change was made by, what the change was and when the change was made.
Create tasks to automatically appear on a Task Board via Marketing Campaigns and Business Automation.

Use the Create Task automation icon to enter a task title, select which board the task should appear on, who the owner of the task is and what the due date of the task is. 
Note: The due date is triggered from the moment the form is submitted.

Receive notifications for activities in the platform including  tasks, comments opportunities and marketing campaigns,

The Task Dashboard shows both an overall view and individual board view of multiple areas of the tasks created and managed in the platform.
Tasks > Dashboard > Modify > Add Tile

Use the filter to create dashboard tiles specific to your interests:
